Hope all are fine and doing well. Here is the our Together We Can- 2014 first half activities details,
Through our member's relative we came to know that, Government Hospital (Aramba Sugathara Nilayam) at Kuruvadi a rural village in Ariyalur district in Tamilnadu, has suffering without bathroom.
This hospital basically has the capacity to handle birth & In patient medical treatment. But it facilated with 4 toilet alone without single bathroom.
Mr. Gowtham, who is doctor & administrative at this hospital told to us, "sometime the women who had admitted for any reason are unavoidably taking bath on toilets, which is unsafe, infectious and causing septic tank filled up quite frequently.
Hence he suggested that we shall convert one of the toilet to bathroom, while we thinking to support them for "Autoclave (or) treatment for poors and some other manner.
As a team, we decided converting the bathroom will be permanent solution than helping them to clean the septic tank.
Meanwhile Dr. Gowtham had got permission from Govt approval parties for converting the toilet.
The conversion work involved, remove the base toilet sink & repave the base & side wall with tiles. Dr. Gowtham had arranged the materials like sand, cement from locally & tiles, marter from Ariyalur with his busy work schedule on Polio day.

The expense involved for this activities was INR 7000.
